mcqueen

This picture is showcasing a collection  by British designer Sarah Burton for fashion house Alexander McQueen as part of her Fall/Winter 2012-2013 women's ready-to-wear fashion collection during Paris Fashion Week March 6, 2012.

This collection is a mix of volume and texture.almost all the garments give the feel of designer being inspired by nature in its true and beautiful aspects.

The combination of fur and floral embellishment  (giving a rose bushels feel)  sleeveless fuchsia knee length dress is mesmerizing.this dress reminds me of the pom pom used by cheerleaders.

The off white 2 tiered T-length dress is a combination of ruffs from renaissance clothing and an exaggerated sleeves. The texture on the dress seems like dandelion floating in air which is elegant and fresh at the same time.

This collection when analysed is combination of both pastel n neon colours.

This collection according to me if minimized a little can be great outfit for the common masses and i would surely prefer the fuchsia dress
What I liked about both of these outfit is the simplicity, texturing and silhoutte.

  1. I liked to read what you thought of the collection and you seem to have been able to articulate it really well. Your relating this to yourself however is still very limited.

You've noted that if this look was minimized you could wear it. Minimized how so? There is no harm in including your own sketches of the minimized version or revamping some old outfit of yours inspired by Burton's design and then posting it as a DIY note... There is a lot you could do..
