Kurtas have been always a comfortable ethnic wear for me.
this kurta is a follows colour blocked trend which was very famous in spring/summer 2009 as well as spring/summer 2012
this is a round neck sleeveless tunic teamed up with denims and a pink sandals.
My kurta has embellishments (appliquè) along with pintuck as a detailing
What i like about my kurta is the sober colours which has been enhanced by a wide black block. the pintucks on the waist gives it a better fit.
The trend of colour blocking which is in present trend is with neon and bright colours
Katy Perry is wearing Fausto puglisi (italian designer) dress
well she is wearing a pink bell sleeve top with a turquiose pencil skirt beautifully accessorized with a black waist band, beaded wristlet and of course the striped pumps; i liked the way her hair is also enhancing the whole colour blocked trend.
Why i chose this picture of katy perry is because of the colour combination of my outfit and hers is almost the same
just the difference is the use of soft colours (mine)and bright colours (Katy Perry)

Your reference of Katy Perry's outfit is very apt for the article. However few additional references to the colour blocking trend of SS12 would have been good.
ReplyDeletePlease note that sober colours refer usually to classical colours like shades of grey, beige brown etc.. The shades of blue and pink you're wearing can be classed as light shades.
